Creswell School District is seeking highly skilled candidates for a Cook Assistant position (6.50 hours per day).
Scheduled shift is 6:30am to 1:30pm, includes 30 minute unpaid lunch. Work location to be determined upon hire.
Position open until filled. Applicant screening begins November 25th.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain a clean work area and assist in preparing and serving food.
Duties may include:
- Prepare a portion of the menu under the direction of the kitchen manager.
- Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of assigned area; clean and maintain assigned area; clean and maintain equipment on a daily basis
- Clean and wash dishes and other serving items.
- Assist with serving of food as required.
- Assist kitchen manager with record keeping
- Perform work in an efficient manner with time deadlines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge and ability in food preparation of various menu items, cooking and serving foods in large quantities.
- Knowledge of standards of HAACP food safety and sanitation methods.
- Knowledge and ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment.
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions, policies and procedures.
- Ability to work cooperatively as a team member, communicate effectively with other employees, staff and students using courtesy and good judgment.
- Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail to meet deadlines including ability to receive and count money.
- Ability to physically perform assigned duties, including but not limited to: lifting objects up to 50 lbs., stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Successful completion of criminal history background and fingerprinting check.
- Current Food Handler’s Card issued by Environmental Health
