Creswell School District is seeking highly-skilled candidates for Substitute Bus Aide positions with our Transporation Department.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Provide a safe and stimulating environment for students.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of fingerprint screening
- Work harmoniously with adults and children of all ages and abilities.
- Ability to accept directions and work in a variety of capacities
- Able to work in adverse weather
- Interact positively with elementary students
- Patient and good sense of humor
- Ability to make decision based on good educational practices
- Ability to apply basic first aid
- Represent the school in a positive light
- Must be able to pass physical test
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervision of students on the bus.
- Interact positively with students, clean up accidents, discipline students as necessary (see
- discipline procedures), help promote good bus riding manners/citizenship. Supervise safety of
- students on the bus, must be able to help students resolve conflicts, make appropriate referrals
- to administrators, report unsafe conditions to appropriate personnel, administer basic first aid.
- Ability to work with and secure wheelchairs; bend, kneel, twist, lift and push.
QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED
- Previous experience with elementary age students.
- Enjoyment of children in an unstructured environment
